What the programme offers
Future Harvest trains, upskills and connects young and future farmers, equipping them with regenerative agriculture, digital, business and entrepreneurial skills to strengthen farm resilience and long-term viability.
Across Europe, a new generation of farmers is emerging, motivated to produce food differently, but often lacking the skills, networks and economic confidence to succeed. Future Harvest provides a pathway for these farmers to turn ambition into action, combining practical learning, peer support and real-world application to accelerate change at farm level.
The programme trains, enables with skills and connects young and future farmers, equipping them with regenerative agriculture, digital, business and entrepreneurial skills to strengthen farm resilience and long-term viability. By the end of the year, we aim to reach 900 young and next-generation farmers across multiple European countries.
The objective
- Accelerate the adoption of regenerative practices across at least 30–40% of participating farms within the programme period
- Enable a measurable improvement in financial literacy and decision-making capacity among participants
- Create a pipeline of young farmers actively engaged in innovation ecosystems beyond the programme
How it works
Step 1. The Future Harvest Academy
The Academy offers a flexible online format delivered in the local languages where the programme will be. Training covers regenerative agriculture, digital tools, farm business and entrepreneurship, combining self-paced learning with live expert sessions.

Step 2. The Future Harvest FarmHub
The FarmHub will engage 160 young farmers in hands-on, community-based activities such as farm visits, peer exchange, mentoring and smallholder clinics.

FAQ
Is there a cost involved in taking part?
No. Participation in Future Harvest is completely free of charge for those selected. The programme is funded by the PepsiCo Foundation and implemented by EIT Food.
Does registering guarantee that I can take part?
No. Completing the registration form does not automatically guarantee enrolment. Applications will be reviewed and those selected will receive official notification.
Is prior knowledge or experience of regenerative agriculture necessary?
No. The programme is designed to be accessible and practical. It is open to both beginners and those with prior experience who wish to develop their skills further.
Do I need to have my own farm?
Not necessarily. The programme is also open to successors, students, new entrants and people who are just starting out in the sector.
How long does the programme last?
The Online Academy will run for approximately two months, between September and October. The content is self-paced: you progress at your own pace within the set timetable.
Will I receive any support materials?
Yes. Those selected will receive information, practical materials and resources to help them follow the programme and apply what they have learnt to their farming situation.
Do I have to attend all the live sessions?
We recommend that you take part in all the sessions. Active participation will enable you to clarify any doubts, connect with other participants and put what you’ve learnt into practice more effectively.
What happens after the online academy?
As a second phase, the programme offers a practical and exclusive experience for 30 selected tomato, maize and olive/almond farmers in Spain. It includes visits to innovative regenerative farms, monthly support calls, reviews of real-life case studies, and tools for assessing the farm and designing a regenerative transition roadmap tailored to each context.
